Wedding of Ken & Jackie : Favourites

Posted by | Posted in Photography, Portraits, Weddings | Posted on 20-10-2009

Hey people! It’s been a while! Yes, I’m guilty of the greatest crime… the crime of not updating my blog for a long time. I’ve been swamped with work lately and I know this is not a good excuse. But don’t fret, I have a host of updates lined up for you. Just a quick round up of what I have been up to lately, I’ve been busy at work, editing photos, editing albums, shooting back-to-back weddings and the cycle continues for another two months to come. As you know, it’s the peak season and everything is starting to pile up. I’ve gotta be like the Duracell bunny, going on and on and on and on. For my readers, thanks for dropping by, day after day to check on the updates. For my clients, thanks for your understanding and your patience as I continue to churn out your beautiful photos and albums. It is my challenge to create the best photos imaginable and have them designed in a wicked album for you. Your challenge is to resist. :) Once again thanks for your patience, just want to let you know that I love you guys to bits as I continue to press on and defeat that mountain of work before me. Yes, it shall bow down before long… that’s a promise!

Anyways, back to the title of this post, here are some of my favourite shots from Ken and Jackie’s wedding. I will be posting more photos from their wedding day later. At the moment, just enjoy a few of my favourite shots.

Wedding of Edmund & Jen Part I

Posted by | Posted in Photography, Weddings | Posted on 03-09-2009

Jen and I have been long time friends. We knew each other for many, many, many years. We used to go to the same tuition, attend the same church, the same school, the same college and now, I had the privilege both attend her wedding and at the same time, be the official photographer on this joyous occasion. Since I’m always lost for words when it comes to blogging (Gosh, I’ve gotta hire a copywriter soon!) I would let the photos do the talking.

This was actually my dream wedding car… too bad I couldn’t afford one and I didn’t know anyone who had one. Good on ya, Edmund!

My First Malay Wedding Shoot

Posted by | Posted in Photography, Weddings | Posted on 12-03-2009

Last weekend, I had the a great opportunity to shoot with Amru from EnchantedForest. I met Amru at Louis Pang’s Ordinary to Extraordinary Workshop in KL. I jumped on it the moment he offered me the rare opportunity to tag along and experience how a Malay Wedding was like. It was the first time that I ever photographed a Malay Wedding.

The bride and groom, Kamarul and Maslina were Amru’s clients and long time friends. It was really great to see how Amru works and how he communicates with his clients. Here are some of the photos that I took that day.

I love this shot. A lil’ bit of mystery and beauty to it.

After the wedding reception, we went to a park nearby to take some portraiture shots. It was raining slightly and Kamarul and Maslina were very patient and endured the raindrops with us.

It’s truly a great experience in photographing a Malay Wedding. When I left for Singapore the next day, I just couldn’t help but craved for more. It’s different from the weddings that I normally shoot but I just love photographing people and seeing two people in love, it is just priceless. Kamarul and Maslina, thanks for letting me tag along on your wedding day and keeping up to my persistence. It was a lovely wedding and I really enjoyed the whole event… especially the delicious food! If you’ve read Amru’s blog, you would know that I even tapau‘ed the food back for my wife that day!

As for Amru, thanks for letting me tag along. I love the fact that we got to know each other quickly and shooting with you was indeed a fun experience. Looking forward to shooting with you again!
