Pre-Wedding of Gerry & Helena in Melbourne

Posted by | Posted in International, Portraits, Pre-Weddings | Posted on 27-08-2009

Gerry & Helena met each other many years ago through a circle of friends. Now, they are working together in a lil’ cafe down in the bustling city of Melbourne. They’ve decided to tie the knot end of the year but unfortunately, I would not be able to make it for their wedding. (My apologies Helena and Gerry, but I do hope I’ve made it up through the photos here!) The day before the pre-wedding shoot, Helena was giving me the low down of the places we would be shooting and I’ve gotta say how much I love them! They sure know what kinda places that I like to shoot in. Oh, how I love this place! Gerry & Helena brought me to this wonderful place tucked somewhere in heart of Melbourne City. It just beautiful! I’m very happy to share this set of photos with you because it’s very close to my heart. So enjoy!

Casual Fun with Jun Kit & Mei Sze in Melbourne

Posted by | Posted in International, Photography, Portraits, Pre-Weddings, Weddings | Posted on 20-08-2009

I have a feeling that I would be really packed for the rest of the week, so I thought I would schedule this update. Jun Kit & Mei Sze decided to have a casual shoot the day after the pre-wedding and we headed down to Brighton among other places to do some casual portraiture that day. The weather, again, was very kind to us. It was reported to rain with overcast clouds but thank God, at every location that we went, the sky was bright and sunny.

I’ll let the rest of the photos do the talking for themselves. Enjoy!

Jun Kit & Mei Sze are such a wonderful couple. I’m glad to know them as first my clients, and then more importantly, as friends. Jun Kit and Mei Sze it’s great to have known the both of you and we would cherish the moments we’ve spent together. I can imagine if we spent a day together, we would be talking non-stop about things that we love. Thanks again for opening your homes to us. You guys were fantabulous. We’re sorry that we can’t be your photographers on your wedding day but I am sure you guys would rock the world!

Over the course of those few days, we got to know the both of them better. So much so, that I can’t help but find it difficult at times to visualise how I could take romantic, sexy, classy photos of the both of them. Each time I have to ask myself if that’s really them. Well, I’ve decided to post this photo last because after knowing them for a few days now, I think that this last photo really describes them the best.

Wedding of Jason & Doris Part I

Posted by | Posted in Photography, Portraits, Weddings | Posted on 24-07-2009

I met Jason & Doris at Andy & Kelly’s Wedding. Jason is Andy’s younger brother who was also getting married. It was sweet of Andy and his family to hire me as the wedding photographer to cover Jason & Doris’ Wedding in Malacca as a gift for the both of them.

Timeless Romance

Posted by | Posted in Photography, Portraits | Posted on 29-03-2009

This is the first time that I’ve ever attended an organised photoshoot. I’ve never really been to one before. I guess part of the reason is the horror stories I’ve heard. As a beginner-newbie-first timer-rookie in these sort of events, I was quick to splurge over S$200 for the photoshoot. Sometimes, I wonder if it was prudent to go for those S$30-40 ones first.

The day started pretty slow with a quick warm up session. I’ve never had the experience of having 5-6 photographers shooting the same model at the same time. With so many photographers, I found it hard to really suggest certain things like change of location, different poses, etc. But I did walk away with new found friends and a bag load of different poses I can use for my next pre-wedding.

Here are some shots from that photoshoot.
